In the news - DPT Countdown MasterClass

An article from the Eastern Courier about the DPT Countdown programme being delivered into secondary schools as a pilot.   The programme was designed and lead by DPT's Nutritionist Angela Tsang and is being successfully delivered with hosting by celebrity chef Brett MacGregor (winner NZ MasterChef 2010) who created a range of healthy recipes suitable for the audience of teens in the South Auckland setting.  Evaluation indicates the programme is very well received by students and teachers alike because of it's hands on and down to earth approach.  For this programme a mobile kitchen was designed and constructed, supported by new resources, online presence, and 'goodie bags' given out to participants which contain some basic kitchen items and common spices.

Funding for the pilot programme is from Counties Manukau Health with much appreciated support from the Countdown supermarket chain in the form of vouchers for product purchase and branded bags.
