Poster describing part two of mixed methods research by Karen Pickering as part of her Public health masters thesis. The first part was a qualitative look at attitudes, behaviours, barriers and enablers through interviewing carried out with 9 nurses. This poster covers the results of an online survey of a wider group that further looked into points identified in the interviews. Among the key findings were that most of the nurses who responded felt that role modelling health behaviours was important. Nurses own ability to give advice was to some extent impacted by their perceived level of knowledge. There were common and significant barriers to carrying out what is considered to be 'healthy lifestyle' behaviours. The poster was presented at the ADS/ADEA conference in Adelaide in 2015.
