NZSSD Conference 2024 - Christchurch

Another excellent NZSSD (New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes) meeting, held this year in Christchurch at the beautiful Te Pae Christchurch events centre.    There were plenty of excellent sessions, in particular some fantastic up and coming researchers and presenters.   It was great to spent time looking at and talking about some of amazing mahi being done around the country.

Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa had two posters and a presentation delivered by our very own team. As always it's a privilege to be able to contribute to the wider body of knowledge by sharing experiences and findings from our home-base here in Otara.  Great work Kanchana for her presentation "Risk of renal disease progression in young adults with type-2-diabetes" (see separate post), and Kate and team for posters "Weight loss journey for youth, their values" and "Designing a new healthy food plate" (see pictures below).   Many thanks to our Patron Professor David Simmons and Board member Ruby Mcgill for their support, also Ali and team for their usual excellent event, and the organising committee of NZSSD for the opportunity to present.
