Published in Diabetic Medicine, Volume 21 (3) - March 1, 2004, this study was to assess the efficacy using a 'passport' aimed at self empowerment and education in patients with poor glycaemic control. The finding was that there weren't improvements in knowledge or self empowerment, however there was a small improvement in glycaemic control.
